Srinagar, Nov 18: Renowned Meteorologist Sonam Lotus today clarified that no major snowfall is expected in Jammu & Kashmir until December 15. He noted that the region is likely to experience dry and stable weather conditions through the end of November, with clear skies prevailing across most areas.
Lotus cautioned, however, that temperatures are set to dip further in the coming days, intensifying the ongoing cold wave, particularly in the Valley. He emphasized that while snowfall activity will remain absent for now, residents should prepare for harsher cold during mornings and evenings.
“It will remain dry and clear, but the cold will intensify,” Lotus said, adding that minimum temperatures may fall further as winter advances. He reiterated that no significant precipitation is forecast before mid-December, giving the region a prolonged spell of dry weather.
The Meteorological Department continues to monitor conditions closely and will issue updates as required. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions against the cold wave and remain informed about weather advisories in the weeks ahead.
