Dy CM Surinder Choudhary and Sakeena Itoo visit DH Pora in Kulgam, lay foundation stone for new Rest House

KULGAM: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, accompanied by Minister for Education, Health, and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo, visited Damhal Hanji Pora today and laid the foundation stone for a new Rest House, which is estimated to cost ₹2.94 crore.

Addressing a large gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure across sectors to provide better services to the people. He directed the concerned engineering authorities to ensure the timely completion of the Rest House and other ongoing projects, while maintaining high-quality standards.

Deputy CM Choudhary stated that the government, led by Omar Abdullah, is dedicated to fulfilling its promises and implementing projects that strengthen connectivity, public amenities, and overall development, in line with its vision of inclusive growth throughout Jammu & Kashmir. He added that transparency, accountability, and a pro-people approach remain the administration’s top priorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Sakeena Itoo said that under Omar Abdullah’s leadership, the government is committed to holistic development across all regions of J&K. She highlighted that the establishment of the Rest House will further enhance the development profile of Damhal Hanji Pora.

The Health Minister also noted that the government has revived several long-pending projects and sanctioned numerous new initiatives, particularly in the health sector, to improve the overall well-being of the people.
