New Delhi, Dec 02: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today carried out raids at 15 locations linked to Chartered Accountant Naresh Kejriwal in Ranchi, Mumbai, and Surat in connection with a case under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Officials confirmed that the searches were part of an ongoing investigation into alleged violations of foreign exchange regulations.

Sources in the ED said that Kejriwal, a practising Chartered Accountant, is under the scanner for suspected irregularities in cross-border transactions and possible misuse of FEMA provisions. The raids were conducted simultaneously across multiple premises, including offices and residential properties associated with him.

Investigators revealed that documents, digital records, and financial papers were seized during the searches. Officials noted that the evidence will be examined to ascertain the scale of violations and identify other individuals or entities involved.

Senior ED officers emphasized that the operation reflects the agency’s commitment to tightening enforcement against financial irregularities. “We are focused on ensuring compliance with FEMA and preventing misuse of foreign exchange channels,” one official remarked.

Naresh Kejriwal has not yet issued a public statement regarding the raids. The ED confirmed that further questioning and scrutiny will follow as part of the investigation.
