Civil, security arrangements ensured; DC, SSP extend greetings
KISHTWAR: The auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) was celebrated in Kishtwar with deep religious fervor, devotion, and enthusiasm.
The day witnessed special religious gatherings and a grand procession in which thousands of devotees participated, moving from Jamia Masjid Kishtwar to the revered shrine of Shah Farid-Ud-Din Sahib (RA).
Led by the Imam of Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, the Head of the Majlis-e-Shoura Committee, religious scholars, and community elders, the procession was held peacefully in a spiritual atmosphere. The event reflected the noble teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), spreading the message of peace, love, and brotherhood.
The district and police administrations had made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the festival, covering both security and logistical aspects.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Naresh Singh, personally supervised the arrangements. They were accompanied by ADC Pawan Kotwal, ASP Pardeep Singh, ACR Idrees Lone, and other senior officers from civil and police departments.
On the occasion, the DC and SSP extended warm Eid greetings to the Muslim community and also joined the religious procession. They urged people to follow the noble path shown by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and appealed for peace, unity, communal harmony, and brotherhood across the district and the Union Territory.
