Los Angeles: Emily in Paris is heading to Venice! On Wednesday, the makers confirmed that the eagerly awaited fifth season will premiere on Netflix this December.

Alongside the announcement, a set of first-look images was released, officially showing that Lily Collins’s Emily will now spend a significant part of her journey in Venice, Italy.

As the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily will navigate both professional and romantic challenges while adjusting to life in a new city, according to the show’s official synopsis.

“Just as everything seems to fall into place, a work idea backfires, triggering heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle—until a major secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Facing conflict with honesty, she emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities,” the synopsis, quoted by Variety, added.

“Benvenuto! The first-look images from Emily in Paris are here, serving up a slice of la dolce vita! Season 5 returns on December 18,” the makers wrote on Instagram.

In the new images, Collins sports a chic bob haircut, signaling a fresh look for Emily. Also featured are Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello and Ashley Park as Mindy, among others.

Season 5’s ensemble cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque.

Filming began in May, picking up after Season 4, where Emily settled into her Rome apartment to run Agence Grateau’s Italian office and spend time with Marcello.

Created and written by Darren Star, Emily in Paris Season 5 will stream on Netflix starting December 18.
