Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Actress Esha Deol, daughter of veteran actor Dharmendra, has dismissed rumours about her father’s demise, clarifying that he is “stable and recovering.”
Addressing the false reports circulating in the media, Esha urged everyone to respect the family’s privacy. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”
Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after his health reportedly deteriorated. The news left fans concerned, with several celebrities visiting the hospital to check on the actor’s condition.
Earlier today, Dharmendra’s son, actor Sunny Deol, also shared an update through his team, confirming that the veteran star remains under observation. “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further updates will be shared as available. Kindly avoid spreading false rumours and please pray for his speedy recovery while respecting the family’s privacy,” the statement read.
On Monday, Dharmendra’s wife and politician Hema Malini had also reassured fans through Instagram, writing, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji, who is in the hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”
Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most beloved actors, is celebrated for his performances in iconic films such as “Ayee Milan Ki Bela,” “Phool Aur Patthar,” “Seeta Aur Geeta,” “Yaadon Ki Baaraat,” “Dost,” “Sholay,” “Pratiggya,” and “Dharam Veer.”
