DODA: Government Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College, Kastigarh, recently organized an Essay Writing Competition on Nationalism and Gandhian Philosophy to instill values of patriotism, truth, non-violence, and simplicity among students.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal of the college. A large number of students participated, sharing their perspectives on the continued relevance of Gandhiji’s principles of self-reliance, communal harmony, and moral courage in today’s society.
Participants emphasized that true nationalism is reflected through selfless service to the nation, and by promoting unity, justice, and peace. The competition offered a platform for students to demonstrate their writing abilities and their understanding of Gandhian ideals.
The Principal lauded the students’ efforts and encouraged them to embrace Gandhian values in both their personal and social lives. The winners of the competition were Amir Hussain, Bhabita Devi, and Sandeep Singh. Faculty members present at the event included Dr. Anupam Lata and Prof. Sat Pal.
