Mumbai: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor paid a heartfelt tribute to her late mother, the legendary Sridevi, on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Janhvi marked what would have been Sridevi’s 62nd birth anniversary by visiting the Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh to offer prayers.
The following day, she shared a series of nostalgic family photos on Instagram. One image shows a young Boney Kapoor and Sridevi holding baby Janhvi, while other pictures capture joyful family moments. Another features Janhvi and her sister Khushi in traditional attire, posing with their parents.
Janhvi also posted recent pictures of herself in a purple saree, complemented by traditional jewelry and a simple hairstyle, captioning them: “Happy Birthday Mumma, every step with your name in my heart.”
Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who accompanied Janhvi to the temple, shared a video of their visit, noting it was his first time at Tirumala Temple. He added that his Param Sundari co-star prays there every year.
Meanwhile, Janhvi’s father, producer Boney Kapoor, and sister Khushi Kapoor also posted tributes in memory of Sridevi. Boney Kapoor wrote: “Yesssss, you are not 62 today. You are 26. Happy birthday, we are still reliving all your happy birthdays.”
On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra will next appear in Tushar Jalota’s Param Sundari, a chaotic love story of a Punjabi boy and a Kerala girl. Sanjay Kapoor and Manjot Singh also play key roles. The trailer, released earlier this week, promises a blend of romance, comedy, and action.
Param Sundari is set to release on August 29.
