Srinagar, Nov 21: The Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC) has issued a formal directive instructing all creche-cum-schools operating in Jammu and Kashmir to obtain the mandatory recognition required under existing regulations. The Committee stated that several such institutions are functioning without proper authorization, which violates the norms governing early childhood care and education services.
According to the FFRC, no creche-cum-school is permitted to operate without securing recognition from the competent authority, and failure to comply will result in action under applicable rules. The Committee emphasized that recognition is essential to ensure safety standards, trained staff, adequate facilities and a regulated fee structure for children enrolled in these institutions.
The FFRC has advised all unregistered creche-cum-schools to immediately initiate the process of obtaining recognition and submit the required documents within the stipulated timeframe. It further noted that the move aims to safeguard the interests of children and ensure accountability among institutions catering to early childhood education and daycare services.
The Committee also appealed to parents to verify the recognition status of creche-cum-schools before admitting their children, underscoring the importance of compliance for ensuring quality and secure environments for young learners.
