SRINAGAR: A fire broke out on Saturday in the frontier Gurez sector of Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir, damaging at least 15 structures, officials said.
The Fire and Emergency Services (FES) reported that the blaze started in Kashpath village near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tulail area of Gurez.
The fire spread quickly as most buildings in the area were wooden. Among the damaged structures were several residential houses. The fire has since been brought under control, officials added.
