JAMMU: An encounter erupted between security forces and terrorists in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said.
According to officials, security forces launched a search operation in the Dool area of the hilly district after receiving specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists.
As the search teams approached, the hiding terrorists — believed to be two in number — opened fire, triggering a gunfight, they added.
