Jammu: In a landmark visit that sowed the seeds of future collaboration, Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General, Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh NCC Directorate, paid his maiden visit to Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu. He was accompanied by Mrs Gurpreet Bevli, Brig D N Pandey, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ Jammu & Col Muneesh Jasrotia, CO 8 J&K Girls Bn NCC. The ADG interacted with Dr. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University, amidst an atmosphere brimming with academic zeal and disciplined pride.
The itinerary included an immersive tour of the Department of Biotechnology, a cutting-edge hub of scientific innovation, followed by visits to the Hydroponics and Bee Keeping Units, each a shining example of sustainable agricultural practice. The ADG drew insightful analogies between NCC training and emerging agricultural technologies—emphasizing self-reliance, sustainability and being future ready.
Decked with fruitful deliberations, the day progressed to an interaction with the Deans of all Departments and eminent faculty members, where a brainstorming session unfolded possibilities of synergistic partnerships between SKUAST Jammu and the National Cadet Corps. The atmosphere was charged with intellectual vibrance and mutual commitment, as avenues to nurture responsible, skilled and environmentally conscious youth were explored.
The visit was not just a ceremonial gesture but a harbinger of deeper institutional ties, strengthening the roots of cooperation and sowing ideas that will bloom into collaborative ventures.
