The Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced the transfer and posting of 58 JKAS officers across various departments, marking one of the largest administrative reshuffles in recent times. The move is aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and improving service delivery at multiple levels.

The reshuffle affects officers in district administration, development authorities, secretariat positions, and key departmental directorates. Several officers have been assigned new roles to strengthen coordination, oversee ongoing projects, and ensure smoother governance.

Departments impacted by the transfers include Revenue, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Education, Transport, Housing, and Urban Development. The administration emphasized that the reassignments are intended to bolster operational effectiveness and provide fresh leadership where required.

Transferred officers have been instructed to assume their new responsibilities immediately. The General Administration Department (GAD) has directed all concerned offices to ensure a seamless transition to avoid disruption in public services.

This large-scale reshuffle reflects the government’s focus on optimizing human resources and reinforcing governance structures throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
