Ganesh Infraworld to Launch ₹105.77 Cr Water, Sewerage Projects in J&K from December

New Delhi: Infrastructure firm Ganesh Infraworld is set to commence work on two major water and sewerage treatment projects worth ₹105.77 crore in Jammu & Kashmir from December 2025, the company’s Managing Director Vibhoar Agrawal said.

The projects are part of the government’s broader initiative to modernise water management and sewage infrastructure in the Union Territory, particularly in the Srinagar–Budgam region, which has seen rapid urbanisation and rising water pollution.

“We are awaiting some final approvals, which are expected shortly, and plan to begin work on both projects by December,” Agrawal said.

The work order includes a complete survey, design, and construction of modern sewerage treatment plants along the Doodh-Ganga Nallah on a turnkey basis, with a five-year operation and maintenance period. The initiative, he said, will play a key role in restoring the ecological balance of one of J&K’s vital tributaries while addressing long-standing wastewater management issues.

The two projects comprise:

A treatment facility covering the Baghi-Mehtab to Allochi Bagh stretch, valued at ₹44.07 crore.

Another facility between Chadoora and Baghi-Mehtab, worth ₹61.70 crore.

Highlighting the challenges ahead, Agrawal noted, “The terrain poses both logistical and climatic hurdles, but it remains one of the most sensitive and crucial regions for infrastructure development.”

Kolkata-based Ganesh Infraworld is engaged in civil, electrical, road, rail, and water infrastructure projects across India.
