JAMMU: The Research and Development Cell of Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu on Tuesday organized a one-day workshop on “Application of Psychological Tools in Research Methodology” under the patronage of Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar.
The workshop aimed to familiarize faculty members, research scholars, and students with the scientific use of psychological tools in research design and data analysis.
In her address, Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar commended the Research and Development Cell for hosting an academically enriching and meaningful event.
Earlier, Convenor of the Research and Development Cell, Dr. Sushma Bala, welcomed the participants and introduced the theme of the workshop, highlighting the critical role of sound research methodology in the field of social sciences.
Resource person Dr. Ambica Kumari, Head of the Department of Psychology, conducted an engaging session on the importance of psychological tools such as aptitude tests, attitude scales, personality inventories, and achievement measures. She elaborated on their practical application, reliability, validity, and ethical considerations in research.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students, who appreciated its interactive and practical approach. Dr. Rajinder Kour, B.Ed & M.Ed Coordinator, Prof. Ramzan Ali, and Dr. Davinder Kour also shared their valuable insights, contributing to the success of the event.
