GDC Ramgarh holds special event to observe Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

SAMBA: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an Awareness Session as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, observed from October 27 to November 2, on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The event was held under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College, and coordinated by Dr. Snobar, Head of the Department of Education, and Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences.

Dr. Shivali Panjgotra delivered an insightful presentation underscoring the importance of vigilance in fostering honesty, integrity, and alertness in everyday life. She noted that Vigilance Awareness Week is observed annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (October 31) and serves as a reminder of citizens’ shared duty to combat corruption and uphold ethical values.

The presentation also emphasized the need to build a transparent and fair society by curbing corruption and unethical practices, thereby strengthening India’s credibility and moral fabric. Students were encouraged to adopt vigilance in their academic and personal pursuits by being truthful, responsible, and aware of their actions and surroundings.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Snobar, who lauded the participation of students and faculty, and highlighted the pivotal role of youth in fostering integrity and accountability within society.
