SAMBA: A Book Donation Drive, Book Reading Activity, and a series of other programs were held today at Government Degree College Ramgarh under the guidance of Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol.
The events were organized by the Department of Dogri in collaboration with the Department of Sociology as part of the ongoing Seva Parv campaign. Students and faculty members actively participated by donating books across various genres, including academic texts, literature, and motivational works. The book reading session provided students an opportunity to read selected passages aloud, fostering a culture of learning and intellectual exchange.
Additionally, the college hosted an Awareness Lecture on Stress Management. The keynote address was delivered by Ashok Kumar, who shared valuable insights into the causes and symptoms of stress, along with practical techniques for managing it in daily life. His interactive session highlighted self-awareness, positive coping strategies, time management, and the importance of seeking timely support.
Meanwhile, the Department of Education, in collaboration with the Literary Club, organized a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Voice of Truth” as part of the Gandhi Jayanti 2025 celebrations. Conducted under the aegis of the Director of Colleges, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K, the event paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and aimed to inspire students to embrace his enduring values.
