GDC Vijaypur organises five day training programme on ASER

SAMBA: Government Degree College Vijaypur, in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation, Jammu and Kashmir, initiated a five day training programme to develop research and data collection skills among its students.

The main aim of training programme was to involve the students in the collection of data for ASER (Annual Status of Education Report).Training of students in research and data collection not only enhances their research skills but also empowers them to actively participate in important assessment tasks, like; In Preparing the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER).

ASER is a largest citizen-led household survey of children’s education in rural India and it aims for continuous improvement in our Education system. Resource persons from ASER Baby Rani (Master Trainer), Suresh Kumar (Master Trainer) and Sahil (Master Trainer) initiated the programme in the college campus on 17-10-2024.

The programme was initiated under able guidance of Principal Dr. Vandana Verma.

The Programme was coordinated by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education) and Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences) and Co-coordinated by Dr. Naseem Choudhary (HOD English). The event was carried out with full support of the senior faculty members Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science) and Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce).
