GDC Vijaypur Organizes Counselling Session and Cleanliness Drive as Part of Sewa Parv

SAMBA: The NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur, in collaboration with the Eco-Club, organized a campus cleanliness drive as part of the ongoing ‘Sewa Parv’.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students, who joined hands to clean the college campus and its surroundings, reaffirming their commitment to the principles of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The program commenced with a brief address by the College Principal, Dr. Ashu Vashisht, who highlighted that cleanliness is not only a physical act but also a civic responsibility. He underscored the significance of such initiatives in motivating youth to actively contribute to nation-building and community development.

During the drive, NSS volunteers and students raised slogans promoting cleanliness and patriotism while cleaning classrooms, corridors, gardens, and surrounding areas.

In parallel, the College’s Career Counselling Cell, in collaboration with Chitkara University, conducted a session on “How to Crack Competitive Exams.” The session was led by Kiran Kurwade, a career mentor with over 30 years of experience across diverse sectors. Kurwade shared practical strategies for exam preparation, effective time management, and smart study techniques. She emphasized the importance of consistency, self-discipline, and maintaining a positive mindset to achieve success in competitive examinations.
