Deputy Commissioner Inspects Newly Commissioned Power Facility at GMC Rajouri

RAJOURI: Strengthening healthcare infrastructure, two 500 KVA fully automatic generators have been commissioned at Government Medical College & Associated Hospital (GMC&AH) Rajouri, ensuring round-the-clock power backup.

Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today inspected the newly commissioned facility. Installed under his directions and executed by JPDCL Rajouri in record time, the generators will provide uninterrupted electricity to the hospital during power outages and natural calamities.

One genset has a load capacity of 420–450 KVA and the other 350–430 KVA, offering sufficient backup to support critical hospital operations. Earlier, frequent blackouts had adversely impacted patient care. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of reliable power for running life-saving equipment and ensuring timely medical interventions. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to continuously upgrade healthcare facilities at GMC&AH Rajouri to better serve the public.

ExEn JPDCL Rajouri, Medical Superintendent Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Deputy Medical Superintendent, and other staff members were also present during the inspection.
