BUDGAM: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, Government Middle School (GMS) Kenihama, in collaboration with AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) Kenihama, organized a plantation drive today under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, healthcare staff, and local community members, who came together to plant saplings across the school and health centre premises. The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation, raise awareness about the importance of trees, and dedicate each plantation to the spirit of motherhood.

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers emphasized that trees not only contribute to ecological balance but also symbolize nurturing, care, and sustenance—qualities closely associated with mothers. Participants also pledged to protect and nurture the saplings to ensure their healthy growth.

The collaborative effort by the school and AYUSH Centre underscores their shared commitment to fostering a greener, healthier environment while instilling values of responsibility and sustainability among the younger generation.
