Gold drops Rs 500 to Rs 98,870 per 10 grams; silver slips Rs 1,000 to Rs 1.11 lakh per kg

NEW DELHI: Gold prices fell for the second day in a row, declining by Rs 500 to Rs 98,870 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday amid continued selling by stockists, according to the All India Sarafa Association.

On Tuesday, gold of 99.9% purity had dropped by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 99,370 per 10 grams.

Similarly, gold of 99.5% purity slipped by Rs 400 to Rs 98,400 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes), down from the previous close of Rs 98,800.
