Google launches two-week AI prototyping programme for Indian startup founders
New Delhi: US tech giant Google on Wednesday announced a two-week skilling programme under Google for Startups India to help early-stage founders, startup teams, and aspiring entrepreneurs build launch-ready AI prototypes using Google’s advanced AI tools.
The programme, running from November 27 to December 7, 2025, aims to equip participants with practical skills to transform their ideas into functional, AI-powered solutions. They will receive hands-on training in AI-first prototyping, AI-powered research, and AI creative development, using tools such as Gemini, Nano Banana, Imagen, Veo, NotebookLM, and AI Studio, according to a company release.
Successful participants will earn a Google-recognised Certificate of Participation and become eligible for the “Build the Future” Showcase in January 2026, where top innovators will receive mentorship from Google experts.
“At Google for Startups, our mission is to make AI accessible to every founder and remove traditional coding barriers,” said Ragini Das, Head of Google for Startups – India. “By leveraging Google’s full-stack AI ecosystem, this programme will empower entrepreneurs to move from concept to creation faster and more confidently.”
The initiative is supported by MeitY Startup Hub, Startup India, IndiaAI Mission, and Nasscom.
MeitY Startup Hub CEO Panneerselvam Madanagopal said the collaboration aligns with the goals of Digital India and Viksit Bharat, enabling founders to develop globally competitive AI solutions that drive social and economic impact.
In September, Google had also announced a new cohort of its three-month AI Accelerator programme — selecting 20 startups from over 1,600 applicants to scale AI-driven solutions in sectors like healthcare, finance, climate, and education.
According to Google, India’s generative AI ecosystem has expanded 3.7 times over the past year, positioning the country as the world’s second-largest GenAI startup hub.
