New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has rolled out a nationwide FASTag annual pass from Friday to promote technology-driven solutions aimed at improving citizens’ ease of living, the authority said in a statement.
According to NHAI, the initiative has seen an enthusiastic response from highway users. By 4:30 pm on the launch day, around 1.2 lakh users had purchased and activated the pass, with about 1.24 lakh transactions recorded at toll plazas.
Designed to offer a seamless and cost-effective travel option, the FASTag Annual Pass allows unlimited convenience through a one-time payment of ₹3,000. It covers either one year’s validity or 200 toll plaza crossings on National Highways and Expressways across India, eliminating the need for frequent recharges.
The pass is available for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and is activated within two hours of payment via the Rajmargyatra App or the NHAI website.
