New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme has generated ₹34.13 crore in revenue since its launch, the government informed the Rajya Sabha on Friday.
In a written reply, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan stated that Mann Ki Baat reaches audiences through a wide range of traditional and digital platforms.
“The programme is produced by Akashvani using in-house resources, incurring no additional expenditure, and has earned ₹34.13 crore since its inception,” Murugan said.
First aired on October 3, 2014, Mann Ki Baat is broadcast live on All India Radio (Akashvani) across national and regional networks. Regional language versions are also aired to cater to vernacular audiences.
The programme is simultaneously telecast on Doordarshan’s national and regional channels. Additionally, DD Free Dish carries 48 Akashvani radio channels and 92 private TV channels, extending its reach to rural and remote areas.
Murugan noted that the visual format of the programme enhances viewer engagement, encouraging collective reflection and discussion.
Mann Ki Baat is also live-streamed and archived on YouTube channels such as PMO India and AIR, as well as on Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform, WAVES. It is available on the ‘NewsOnAIR’ mobile app, which hosts over 260 Akashvani channels.
The programme is further distributed via Prasar Bharati’s news feed service, PB SHABD, enabling broader reach across partner platforms.
It is also widely accessed across India and internationally through social media platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
