Srinagar, Nov 25: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced that the government is actively exploring a mechanism to facilitate the transition of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers into the regular education system. The move aims to streamline service conditions and address long-standing concerns of the teaching community.
Officials from DSEK stated that discussions are underway to develop a framework that ensures fairness, transparency, and efficiency in the transition process. The initiative is expected to provide clarity on career progression, benefits, and responsibilities for ReT teachers.
The Directorate emphasised that the government recognises the contributions of ReT teachers in strengthening grassroots education and is committed to safeguarding their interests. The proposed mechanism will also focus on enhancing accountability and improving the overall quality of teaching in schools.
DSEK reiterated that the transition plan is part of broader reforms aimed at modernising the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities assured that all stakeholders will be consulted to ensure the process is inclusive and sustainable.
