Govt Polytechnic Reasi Organizes Two-Day Udyam Yuva Fest

REASI: The Department of Skill Development and Employment organized a two-day Udyam Yuva Fest today at Government Polytechnic Reasi, aimed at empowering youth and fostering creativity. The event featured quizzes, speeches, painting, and essay competitions, providing students a platform to showcase their talent and innovative ideas.

The programme was inaugurated by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Sambyal, who was the Chief Guest. Also present were Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of Govt. Polytechnic Reasi; Rajesh Bansotra, Superintendent ITI Reasi; and Jaffer Azad, District Officer JUDA. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and a serene Saraswati Vandana recitation by students, setting an inspiring tone for the day.

Students presented a vibrant cultural programme, including thought-provoking skits on “Nasha Mukt Bharat” and “Mission Yuva Bharat.” Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest highlighted the objectives of Mission YUVA, encouraging students to innovate, take risks, and embrace entrepreneurship. He also praised the college administration for successfully implementing the project and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship.

In his welcome address, Principal Er Arun Bangotra explained the core concept of Mission YUVA and lauded students’ active participation, urging them to engage in such constructive activities that build confidence and foster innovation.

A felicitation ceremony followed, honoring winners of various competitions and participants of the 10-day Mission Yuva Hybrid Training Courses. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with 196 students in the Quiz competition, 67 in Painting, 41 in Essay, and 30 in Speech.

Winners:

Quiz Competition: 1st – Preeti Sharma, 2nd – Vikram Singh, 3rd – Shuriti Sharma

Essay Competition: 1st – Diksha Devi, 2nd – Nikhil Kumar, 3rd – Tanish Bharti

Speech Competition: 1st – Pryansh Manontra, 2nd – Pooja Devi, 3rd – Satyam Sharma

Painting Competition: 1st – Anil Kumar, 2nd – Nazia Akhter, 3rd – Preeti Sharma

Winners received certificates and cash prizes of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000, and Rs. 2,000 respectively.

The event also showcased innovative project models by students, earning appreciation from the ADDC. Ritu Devi from the Social Welfare Department delivered a session on skill development and digital literacy, while Employment Officer Ajay Kumar conducted career counseling on employment opportunities. Sunil Kumar provided detailed information on various student scholarship schemes.

The fest concluded with a vote of thanks by Ajay Dogra, Incharge Training and Placement Cell, leaving students inspired, motivated, and better informed about future opportunities and responsibilities.
