Vision Document Preparation Underway in 104 Tribal Villages as Part of Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan

RAJOURI: Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, Gram Sabhas were conducted today across 104 tribal villages in Rajouri district, focusing on the preparation of Vision Documents under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan. This initiative aims to promote participatory planning and drive the holistic development of tribal communities.

The Deputy Commissioner attended the Special Gram Sabha at Village Argi, engaging with local residents and emphasizing the importance of community-led development. He highlighted that the aspirations of the people should guide all planning efforts and encouraged villagers to actively contribute to the formulation of Vision Documents that address their key developmental priorities.

DC Sharma explained that the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan seeks to empower tribal communities through the convergence of schemes, participatory vision planning, and the creation of sustainable livelihood opportunities. He added that these Gram Sabhas will be instrumental in shaping a roadmap for tribal empowerment and inclusive growth.

In addition, Gram Sabhas were convened across all 312 Panchayats in the district’s 19 blocks to mark Gandhi Jayanti. The agenda included preparing Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) and formulating the MGNREGA Labour Budget for the financial year 2026–27.

This district-wide exercise not only commemorated Gandhi Jayanti through meaningful community engagement but also reinforced the spirit of grassroots democracy, reflecting the vision of inclusive growth and sustainable rural development.
