Bareilly: In the early hours of Friday, two unidentified individuals opened fire at Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence in Civil Lines, Bareilly.
SSP Bareilly, Anurag Arya, confirmed the incident, saying that the attackers, who were riding a motorcycle, reached the actor’s home and fired shots around 3:30 am.
“We received reports of firing at retired CO Jagdish Patani by two unidentified motorbike-borne assailants. Police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. An FIR has been registered at Kotwali police station under multiple sections. Armed personnel have been deployed to ensure the safety of the family,” he stated.
The SSP added that five investigation teams have been formed under SP City and SP Crime. “Strict action will be taken against the accused. I personally met the family and assured them of their security,” he said.
Disha Patani has not yet commented on the incident.
