Rajouri, December 03: Rajouri Police, continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking, arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin and psychotropic substances during separate Naka checking operations in Thanamandi and Manjakote.
Rajdhani, PS Thanamandi: During Naka checking at Rajdhani, a police team from Police Station Thanamandi apprehended Noshad Ahmed Shada, son of Abdul Qayoom, resident of Hasplote Thanamandi, Rajouri. A personal search led to the recovery of 5.25 grams of heroin-like substance. A case FIR No. 164/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Thanamandi. Investigation is underway.
Manjakote, PS Manjakote: In another incident, a police party from Police Station Manjakote, during routine Naka checking, apprehended Mohd Irfan Khan, son of Kabir Hussain, resident of Kalali Manjakote. A personal search resulted in the recovery of 3.04 grams of heroin-like substance and 10 strips (100 capsules) of Pregabalin. A case FIR No. 109/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Manjakote. Further investigation is in progress.
Rajouri Police reaffirmed its commitment to intensify the crackdown on drug trafficking and protect the community from narcotics-related crimes.
