JAMMU: The Apni Party Provincial President, S Manjit Singh, has demanded immediate Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir to restore the people’s faith in the administration.

He stated that the delay in holding the elections has been widening the gap between the general masses and the administration for the past several years.

“There is a disappointment among the people because of incompetent administration which has failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people,” he said while addressing a joining programme cum meeting in Jammu.

Those who joined the Apni Party in presence of Manjit Singh included prominent businessman Rakesh Gupta, BSP leader Kanwarjit Singh, and Chartered Accountant Gulshan Anand, along with their supporters.

Singh expressed confidence that the inclusion of the new leaders would strengthen the party’s presence on the ground.

He criticized traditional political parties for exploiting voters and failing to fulfil their aspirations over the past seven decades.

Singh commended Apni Party’s successful public outreach campaigns and the leadership of its President, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, which have garnered overwhelming support from all sections of society.

He called on the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene and address these problems, demanding the rectification of billing errors.
