Mumbai: The second day of FICCI Frames 2025 featured a special session titled “From Heartland to International Screens: MP in Focus”, supported by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.

The session brought together leading voices from cinema, entertainment, and governance to highlight Madhya Pradesh’s growing role as a cinematic hub.

Moderated by Bigg Boss voice artist Vijay Vikram Singh, the panel included Bidisha Mukherjee (IAS), Additional Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board; actors and producers Huma Qureshi, Vani Tripathi Tikoo, and Sunny Hinduja; Vijay Koshy, President of The Viral Fever (TVF); and filmmaker Jitank Gurjar.

Huma Qureshi shared her personal connection with the state, saying, “When I was growing up, we often visited Kashmir to see my grandparents. Later, Madhya Pradesh became a place close to my heart. Since shooting Maharani, I’ve been visiting almost every year — it feels like my nanihal.”

Actor-producer Vani Tripathi Tikoo highlighted the state’s storytelling heritage, noting, “We are a land of storytellers, and every corner has a tale to tell. Madhya Pradesh is truly the gadh of kathaaon.”

Bidisha Mukherjee emphasized the government’s efforts to position MP as a cultural and cinematic destination, inviting global filmmakers to explore its rich landscapes. She pointed out the state’s geographic and cultural diversity, making it suitable for both period dramas and contemporary narratives.

Hailing from Madhya Pradesh himself, Sunny Hinduja added, “I’ve had the privilege of shooting projects like The Family Man and Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare in MP. The people there are warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive.”

Celebrating its 25th year, FICCI Frames remains one of Asia’s largest conventions for the media and entertainment industry. The event’s inaugural session, held on Tuesday, was graced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who shared a candid and engaging conversation to open the milestone edition.
