IIM Jammu Celebrates 10 Years of Excellence at Grand Inaugural Ceremony
SRINAGAR: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu celebrated a decade of academic excellence with a grand inaugural ceremony at its Jagti Campus. The event was graced by Shantmanu, Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K, as the chief guest, and Amitava Chatterjee, Managing Director and CEO of J&K Bank, as the guest of honor.
The ceremony commenced with a traditional Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting, marking the institute’s journey of achievement. A key highlight was the unveiling of IIM Jammu’s special 10-year logo by Shantmanu, symbolizing its commitment to innovation and transformation.
In his welcome address, Director Professor B.S. Sahay reflected on the institute’s decade-long journey and outlined its vision for the future. Deans Jabir Ali and Nitin Upadhyay highlighted IIM Jammu’s academic and research initiatives, underscoring its standing as a premier management institution.
A panel discussion on the “Role of Educational Institutions in the Growth and Development of UT of Jammu and Kashmir,” moderated by Shantmanu, featured eminent experts from leading institutions. The discussion focused on fostering innovation, talent development, and sustainable regional growth through collaborative efforts.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Professor Shyam Narayan.
