IIM Jammu Hosts Thematic Session on Civil–Military Fusion 2025
JAMMU: IIM Jammu today hosted a thematic session under the ongoing Civil–Military Fusion Capsule, Jammu 2025 on the theme “Technical Infusion for Military Capability Enhancement – Focus on Niche and Contemporary Technologies.”
The session aimed to foster deeper collaboration between the armed forces, academia, civil administration, and security agencies to promote innovation and strengthen national defence preparedness.
Participants included representatives from the Indian Army, CRPF, IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu, District Administration Jammu, J&K Police, and SIB.
Eminent speakers from the Army and IIM Jammu delivered thought-provoking talks on integrating emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, drones, and cyber systems into military operations to boost combat effectiveness and efficiency.
Discussions also underscored the significance of public–private partnerships, academic engagement, and rapid technological adaptation to build a self-reliant, future-ready defence ecosystem aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion highlighting the crucial need for sustained dialogue and innovation between military and academic institutions to develop forward-looking solutions for India’s evolving security challenges.
