Major General Ali Saif Al Kaabi, Commander of the UAE Presidential Guard, was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour in New Delhi, marking an important moment in the growing defence partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates. The honour reflected the warmth and depth of ties shared by the two nations, particularly in the field of security and military cooperation.
Major General Al Kaabi is on an official visit to India aimed at strengthening bilateral defence relations and enhancing cooperation between the armed forces of both countries. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Indian military and defence officials to discuss areas of mutual interest, including joint training, defence exchanges and strategic collaboration.
The Guard of Honour ceremony underscored India’s respect for the UAE’s leadership and its commitment to deepening defence ties with a key strategic partner in the Gulf region. India and the UAE have steadily expanded their cooperation in recent years, with regular high-level visits, joint exercises and institutional defence dialogues.
The visit of the UAE Presidential Guard Commander is seen as a step towards further consolidating defence and security cooperation, contributing to regional stability and reinforcing the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the UAE.
