Jammu: “No one can stop our rise,” declared Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday, reaffirming that India will emerge stronger by overcoming the challenges and obstacles posed by certain elements.
Speaking at the 45th Foundation Day celebration of the School for the Hearing Impaired, run by the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, Sinha emphasized the need for inclusive rehabilitation and equal opportunities in education and employment to empower people with special abilities and ensure them a dignified life.
“India will emerge more powerful, defeating the challenges and hurdles created by certain elements. No one can stop our rise,” he reiterated.
The L-G noted that several forces, both internal and external, are attempting to obstruct India’s progress. “A conspiracy has been hatched by certain elements, but no power can halt our march toward a developed India,” he asserted.
Sinha underlined that inclusion is key to prosperity, adding that the administration is committed to ensuring that every section of society — including people with special abilities — actively participates in Jammu and Kashmir’s developmental journey.
Outlining four essential aspects for empowering people with special abilities, Sinha said these include:
Identifying their strengths and nurturing them;
Creating an inclusive environment that promotes independent thinking and decision-making;
Providing full support to their choices; and
Building a conducive space for self-learning and continuous improvement.
The L-G also paid tribute to Dr. R. R. Khajuria, founder of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, lauding the organization’s members for their selfless service to society.
He urged corporate houses, the business community, and citizens to contribute actively to this noble cause, reaffirming the government’s commitment to building an inclusive and empowered society.
