Doda: Yoga has emerged as one of the most trusted means to boost physical and mental well-being. To promote ‘Yoga’, Indian Army organized a Yoga Camp for youth at Govt Higher Secondary School, Bhagwah on 28 May 25. 60 students eagerly participated in the event and performed yoga exercises, asanas and pranayama. 02 x Media Persons, 07 x teachers also took part in the said event. The Yoga Camp featured sessions designed to cater to both beginners and seasoned practitioners. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a variety of yoga practices aimed at improving flexibility, strength, mental clarity and relaxation.
The session was later followed by an interaction between the participants and representative of Indian Army in which various health benefits of yoga were discussed. The Yoga instructors shared with the gathering that Yoga embodies unity of mind, body, thought, action and not only creates a harmony between man and nature but also inculcates holistic approach to health and well-being. Regular practice of yoga can also alleviate chronic pain and improve posture. Locals thanked the Indian Army Camp for organizing such an event which will go a long way in stimulating a healthy lifestyle and inner peace amongst the locals and young students.
