Poonch: Indian Army organized Drawing and Painting competition at Kalsa Primary School, to foster creativity and skill development. In remarkable initiative to promote creativity and artistic skills among young students, the school is located in one of the most underdeveloped areas of Poonch District.
The event aimed to inspire and engage the students in creative expression, while fostering their talents and confidence in an environment where opportunities for extracurricular activities are limited. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from children aged between 8 yrs to 12 yrs who showcased their creativity and imagination through vibrant and detailed drawing and painting on a variety of themes. The students’ artwork covered subject such as Mera Bharat Mahan, nation’s first importance of education and women equality.
The event encouraged students to not only express their artistic potential but also learn valuable lessons in focus, perseverance and self-expression. The event was attended by faculty of schools and local community leaders, who commended the efforts of Indian Army in bringing such an enriching experience to the children of this undeserved region.
The initiative by the Indian Army aligns with its broader mission of uplifting underserved communities and providing children with access to diverse learning experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom education.
