Poonch, Rajouri: In a commendable outreach initiative, the Indian Army organised a special lecture on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day on 02 July 2025 at remote locations including Chassana, JWG, Lah, JNV, Kotranka, Thanamandi, and Marha in the districts of Poonch, Rajouri, and Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir.
The event aimed to spread awareness about the vital role of doctors in society and to educate the local population on the importance of healthcare, hygiene, and timely medical intervention. Army officials interacted with local residents, shared insights on common health concerns in the region, and highlighted the selfless contributions of doctors, especially in remote and underserved areas. Over 236 villagers, including students, elders, and local leaders, attended the session and expressed their appreciation for the Army’s continued support and humanitarian initiatives.
The lecture reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment not only to the security of the region but also to the welfare and upliftment of its people. Events like this help bridge the gap between remote communities and modern healthcare practices, fostering trust and cooperation between the Army and the local populace.
