Poonch :The Indian Army organised a lecture on the prevention of winter diseases in village Chhatral to spread awareness and safeguard people from severe cold weather conditions. A total of 365 attendees, including 358 students and 7 teachers, participated in the event, which aimed to educate youth about the types of winter diseases caused by cold climates, their risk factors, and potential effects.
The session provided insights into identifying signs and symptoms of these diseases that require timely attention. Emphasis was placed on prevention and treatment through strengthening immunity, maintaining hygiene practices, staying warm and dry, and utilizing available vaccinations. This effort by the Indian Army was highly appreciated by the AWAM. By reaching out to youth in remote areas where civil administration has limited access, this initiative helps build and strengthen trust between the Indian Army and AWAM.
