Rajouri: In a bid to provide essential medical facilities to the residents of Tarkhana & Naili, Rajouri, the Indian Army organized a medical patrol on 14 July 2025. This initiative aimed to raise awareness among the local population regarding various diseases, their symptoms and preventive measures.
The Army’s medical patrol team interacted with villagers, including the Sarpanch, Panches and other local residents. The team provided free health check-ups and distributed medicines to 40 villagers who availed themselves of the medical services. Along with the consultations, the medical team also shared valuable health tips, emphasizing the importance of good eating habits, balanced diets and maintaining personal hygiene to enhance the quality of life in the community.
The event proved to be an invaluable service, particularly given the challenging terrain and the remoteness of the area. It enabled the local population to access medical care that would otherwise have been difficult to obtain due to the region’s inaccessibility. The Army’s efforts were widely appreciated by the local population, who expressed their gratitude for the medical assistance and the commitment shown by the Army to improve their well-being. The event fostered constructive discussions on improving the livelihoods of the residents, further strengthening the bond between the Army and the local community.
