Doda: In a heartfelt initiative to illuminate lives and empower underserved communities, the Indian Army at Doda distributed Solar Lights and Power Banks to the Gujjar & Bakkarwal families at Nagni Maidan of Bhart area under Operation Sadhbhavana and Operation Roshni on 04 Jun 25. As part of its unwavering commitment to uplift the quality of life in remote and high altitude regions, the Indian Army extended these vital amenities to the nomadic tribes residing in the harsh and inaccessible terrains of the district. The endeavour sought to ease the burdens of these resilient communities who often brave extreme climatic conditions with limited access to modern infrastructure.
This outreach was not merely about distributing equipment, it symbolised hope and connection. The Gujjars & Bakkarwals, along with local media representatives gathered for the event, which highlighted the Indian Army’s steadfast dedication to inclusive development. 65 Gujjar & Bakkarwals attended the event. The Indian Army has continuously strived to render essential services and support to remote populations. The provision of Solar Lights and Power Banks serves as a beacon of the Indian Army’s enduring mission to bring light both literal and metaphorical, into the lives of those in need. The overwhelming gratitude expressed by the community was a poignant reminder of the profound impact such acts of service can have. With limited infrastructure and scarce amenities, these families now see a brighter path ahead, lit by the spirit of unity and compassion.
