Indian Army Distributed Solar Street Lights for Gujjar and Bakarwals at Kulhand, Doda

Doda: In a remarkable gesture of services and solidarity, the Indian Army at Doda, under the noble banner of Operation Sadhbhavana and Operation Roshni, has installed Solar Street Lights in the remote and picturesque villages of Kulhand.

This visionary initiative seeks to uplift the lives of the local populace, particularly the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, by addressing the long standing void of basic illumination infrastructure in high altitude and inaccessible areas. The solar lights, a beacon of progress, are not merely functional additions they are symbols of empowerment, safety and hope. The event witnessed the gracious presence of community and local leaders, member of the media and distinguished civil dignitaries, who bore witness to this milestone in grassroots development. 180 locals including Gujjar & Bakkarwals attended the event. In addition, 11 Media Persons and 09 civil dignitaries also took part in the said event. With steadfast dedication, the Indian Army continues to champion the cause of community upliftment across the region.
