Indian Army Organizes Lecture on Women Empowerment at JNV Kotranka, Rajouri
Rajouri: With an aim to promote gender equality and highlight the vital role of women in nation-building, the Indian Army conducted a lecture on Women Empowerment at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Kotranka, Rajouri, on 3 November 2025.
The session underscored the remarkable contributions of women to society and emphasized the importance of extending empowerment initiatives to rural and remote regions. Speakers discussed various government schemes focusing on skill development, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance among women. The lecture highlighted that education, vocational training, and employment opportunities are essential to enhance women’s social and economic status, enabling them to actively contribute to the nation’s growth and progress.
The event received an enthusiastic response from participants, who expressed that women in rural areas deserve equal access to education and professional opportunities. A total of 480 individuals attended the programme, including 30 teachers and staff members and 450 students (210 girls and 240 boys). Teachers and students conveyed their sincere appreciation to the Indian Army for organizing such an inspiring session, which they said motivated young minds toward building a more equitable and empowered society.
