Rajouri: At approx 1030H, a fire broke out at the stable (Dhok) where livestock were housed, at the residence of Abrahim Maulvi, son of Hassan Mohd Maulvi, a resident of Kewel Top.
Upon receiving the info, a team comprising 10 people along with a water bowser and a few porters, was dispatched to the incident site. The team of Indian Army, swiftly reached the location and, with assistance from local residents, immediately commenced firefighting efforts.
All livestock were successfully evacuated from the stable. In addition, adjacent houses in the neighbourhood were also vacated to ensure minimal damage due to spreading of fire. With concerted efforts of Indian Army Soldiers and civilians fire has been successfully doused with no casualty of human life or livestock.
