Akhnoor: The General Officer Commanding of the Crossed Swords Division today flagged off a National Integration Tour from Akhnoor, Jammu & Kashmir, for 47 students and three teachers, accompanied by Indian Army officials.
Organized under Operation Sadbhavana, the educational and motivational tour aims to promote unity, peace, and prosperity, while offering participants a glimpse into India’s rich heritage and developmental achievements. Over seven days, the group will visit New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, exploring key historical and cultural landmarks.
The initiative seeks to broaden the students’ horizons by exposing them to India’s vibrant culture, history, and technological progress, inspiring them toward nation-building. Special interactions with Indian Army units are also planned, providing insights into acts of bravery and fostering a sense of national pride.
The participants, hailing from remote and border villages and selected through a rigorous process, come from underprivileged backgrounds. Both students and their families have expressed immense gratitude and excitement for the opportunity.
Operation Sadbhavana is a flagship Indian Army program focused on winning hearts and minds in remote and conflict-affected areas through education, empowerment, and goodwill.
