Rajouri:In a heartfelt initiative to support underprivileged student, Indian Army, in collaboration with NGO (PC Dogra Charitable Trust, Chandigarh) organised a stationery distribution drive and a drawing competition at Govt Middle School, Sadda and Govt Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Samote on 06 Apr 2025.
The NGO generously contributed essential educational materials to poor and needy students, ensuring that students have the necessary resources to continue their studies. As part of the event, students received notebooks, pens, pencils and other stationery items to aid their studies. Additionally, a drawing competition was held, encouraging students to express their creativity and artistic skills. The competition saw enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing their talent through vibrant and meaningful artworks.
Winners were awarded prizes to further motivate them in their creative endeavors. Representatives from the NGO emphasised the significance of education and extracurricular activities in shaping young minds, expressing their commitment to supporting economically weaker students. By providing these educational resources and encouraging artistic expression, the initiative aimed to remove barriers to learning and foster all-round development among students. A total of 180 students from Govt Middle School, Sadda and 100 Students from Govt Higher Secondary School, Samote availed the benefit of distribution of stationery. The event not only provided much needed assistance to the students but also strengthened the bond between the local population and the Indian Army.
The school administration expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army and the NGO for their generous support, acknowledging the positive influence such initiatives have on student motivation. The Indian Army reaffirmed its dedication to community development and assured continued efforts to uplift education in the region.
