Poonch :Indian Army has become a ray of hope for the people of remote and underdeveloped villages in the Sub Division of Mendhar, Poonch.
When there were no educational facilities and little hope for a bright future for children due to terrorism and the consequent continuous unrest in the entire region, the Indian Army took the initiative and opened primary classes for children in tents in 1996. Today, the school has come a long way, providing free and quality education to children from Below Poverty Line families.
The school has flourished, not only with quality infrastructure, including school buildings, a library, a recreation hall, and a playground, but also with qualified teachers and a dedicated school staff. From providing free transportation to supplying books, uniforms, and stationery, the Indian Army is committed to providing the best experience for the children and ensuring their overall development by organizing extracurricular activities regularly. The budding minds are not only shaping up in the best possible manner for society but also for the nation as a whole. Today, the Indian Army distributed books, uniforms, and stationery to 70 students from BPL families in a lively and enthusiastic environment. The event was attended and highly appreciated by the students, their families, and teachers.
