Kishtwar :In continuation of its endeavor to promote peace and tranquility in the region and to evolve an environment of brotherhood and harmony amongst the local population, a Quami Ekta Meet was organized by the Indian Army on 03 Mar 2025 at Gwari.
The event was graced by an approximate gathering of 56 prominent personalities from the nearby villages. During the course of interaction, initiatives being undertaken for development of the region and subsequently the problems being faced by the local populace were discussed. The aim of this meet was to engage with the local communities in a positive manner thereby defeating the nefarious design of adversaries. The local leaders themselves brought out the need and importance of harmony in the region which is a clear sign of the bonhomie present in the Gwari region.
The Commander exhorted upon the religious preachers to work towards maintaining peace in the region and promised full support in fulfilling their local requirements. The meet was well received and the local leaders greatly appreciated and applauded the support provided by the Army in all spheres. It is part of an endeavor by the Indian Army to win hearts and minds of the local populace in the region and promote harmony and integration.
