Doda : Yoga has emerged as one of the most trusted means to boost physical and mental well-being. Regular practice of yoga can also alleviate chronic pain and improve posture. To promote yoga, the Indian Army organized a Yoga Camp for youth at Bhart Company Operating Base (COB). People from all walks of life were invited to take part in the celebration by performing yoga exercises, asanas, and pranayama.
A total of 43 civilians participated in the event. The Yoga Camp featured sessions designed to cater to both beginners and seasoned practitioners. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a variety of yoga practices aimed at improving flexibility, strength, mental clarity, and relaxation.
The session was followed by an interaction between the participants and a representative of the Indian Army, during which the various health benefits of yoga were discussed. The Yoga Instructors shared with the gathering that yoga embodies the unity of mind, body, thought, and action, and not only creates harmony between man and nature but also inculcates a holistic approach to health and well-being. Locals thanked the Indian Army and civil administration for organizing such an event, which will go a long way in stimulating a healthy mindset among students.
